1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small data files stored by a website in the browser. Local storage performs a similar role but remains on the device and is not automatically sent with every request.
2. Technologies used
HERING uses technical cookies required for secure sessions, form forgery protection, authorized preview access, and administration. These cookies are not used for advertising.
The catalogue uses local storage to remember, only in that browser, products selected for a multi-product inquiry. The selection contains the product name, reference, displayed price, and URL. It is not transmitted to HERING or WhatsApp until the user chooses to open or send the inquiry. It can be removed with the “Clear” button or browser controls.
3. Analytics and advertising
In this version, the public website does not install proprietary advertising analytics, cross-site tracking, or commercial personalization cookies. If HERING adds a non-essential tool, this policy will be updated and any required consent controls will be enabled before activation.
4. Third-party services
WhatsApp is not loaded as an embedded tracker. The browser goes to its domain only after the visitor selects the relevant link. Meta/WhatsApp cookies and policies may then apply. Links to official documents and other websites behave similarly.
5. Browser controls
Browsers allow cookies and local storage to be removed or blocked. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent secure forms, administrative authentication, or preview access. Clearing local storage removes selected products without affecting the catalogue.
