2. Scope and data collected
This policy applies to website visitors and people who submit requests or contact HERING through linked channels. We may collect name, email, telephone, company, subject, request content, selected products, and minimum technical data required for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention. Required fields are identified before submission.
Public forms do not request sensitive data, financial information, or credentials. Do not include confidential information that is unnecessary for your request.
3. Purposes and grounds
- receive, record, and answer quotations and service requests;
- continue the conversation through WhatsApp, telephone, or email;
- prepare proposals and identify catalogue references;
- protect the website, prevent automated abuse, and investigate incidents;
- meet applicable legal, accounting, or contractual duties.
Processing relies on consent given when submitting a form, the steps requested before entering a contract, and, where applicable, legal obligations or compatible legitimate interests.
4. WhatsApp and service providers
When WhatsApp is selected, the website prepares a message on the visitor’s device. HERING stores an internal copy of the form before opening that service so the request is not lost. The message is only sent to WhatsApp if the visitor chooses to send it. Meta/WhatsApp’s own terms then also apply, and information may be processed outside the Dominican Republic.
HERING does not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed only to providers supporting hosting, security, email, technical support, or request management under confidentiality safeguards; to authorities where legally required; or with the data subject’s authorization.
5. Retention
Requests are retained as reasonably needed to respond and document the relationship. As a general criterion, contact records are reviewed for deletion or anonymization 24 months after the last interaction, unless a contract, legal duty, claim, or defence need requires a longer period. Restricted backups follow their technical retention cycle.
6. Individual rights
You may request access, correction, updating, objection, or deletion where applicable; withdraw consent for future processing; and ask about the source and use of your data. Email servicios@heringsrl.com with enough information to verify identity and locate the record. HERING will answer within the applicable legal period and may retain data strictly required by law.
7. Security and children
We use proportionate technical and organizational controls, including authenticated administration, role-based permissions, encryption in transit, input validation, activity logs, and backups. No system is absolutely secure; please report suspected incidents promptly. This business website is not intended to collect children’s data.
8. Updates and reference framework
We may update this policy when operations or rules change. The effective version and date will remain on this page. This document refers to the Dominican Constitution and Law No. 172-13 on personal data protection, without limiting mandatory rights.
